ADD and Creativity
I wonder what the ratio of finished to unfinished canvasses/projects I have laying around is.
Probably about 9 out of 10.
Nothing finished since graduating college, that's durn sure.
Also, I'm on a great Yahoo! Group for organizing for the artist... there's mostly scrapbookers, but they certainly do have a TON OF ART to organize, and it's great for motivation to either DO stuff or CLEAN stuff.
And for those of you interested in not-so-traditional crafts/media/etc. I've got a community (it's only got like, four people and I think I'm the only one who's posted, so this doesn't really count as advertising, does it?)
It's hardcorecrafts --
My usericon is a disembodied BRATZ doll head (it came that way... bodiless, I mean) that I ... zombified. I have pupaphobia (puppet fear) and have been working with dolls to work my way up to puppets to maybe get over it. We'll see if that ever happens.
I too have several unfinished creative projects, and relate to that very much. I try not to be too hard on myself, and figure I will get to it, when I do. Forcing creativity just kills it for me.
Randomly: Modifying dolls and doll making is one of my hobbies.I'd join your community, but there is a blurb there about it being for the child free. Seeing as I have four, I don't qualify. *shrug*
there is? child free? Huh?
Well, uh, I don't think it really matters, it being a humor thing. It's mostly likely 1) catchy and 2) a response to the glut of "scrapbooking" art by numbers crowd in several craft communities/groups.
Guh! and I complaining about scrapbooking too (Not scrapbookers per se... but I tire of loosing rows and rows of much needed art supplies to printed paper. it does anger me so.)
Yes! I have this whole diatribe over scrapbooking and scrapbookers.. :)
I do love the making memories stuff, they have tiny hammers and things and have a lot of neat metal findings which I like to attach to other things... but really, how many rows of disney paper does one store need?
